We needed a place to eat after watching an evening play in Carmel. ( Go to a play in Carmel! They're always fun!) it was about 10:30pm and there's not many places open this late. The three rolled tacos plate was delicious. Really good beans and rice! Tacos were great! I think they were shredded beef. I ate it fast! Super burrito: husband said it was good but the asada was a little salty. Maybe ask them to take it easy on the Salt shaker if possible. This place is no frills, but they do carry Mexican Cokes. As we ate, customers continued to come in for take out. I wish there was a place like this where I live in contra costa county. It was good and I hope to be back here soon to visit.

Visited Big Sur and was looking for something to grab on the go to have more time to enjoy the area. Saw a review that recommended the chorizo breakfast burrito. It was one of the better burritos I've had and decent size to share with my gf. Ended up coming back here for dinner and breakfast the next day. While visiting I also had the cóctel de camarón, pollo asado and carne asada burritos. The burritos are mostly protein and made me feel satiated. The cóctel de camarón was made to order and had large shrimp, I think they only offer shrimp on their menu. The salsa verde was tasty and mildly spicy , preferred it over the red salsa. Can't go wrong with the burritos here and will come back for the chorizo burrito!

Their breakfast burritos are super good, the shrimp burritos are amazing (add cheese!) Services is always good being here in the morning and night time always wonderful people.

Great spot that's always a solid choice--definitely call ahead since it's popular. I recommend their chorizo or bacon breakfast burritos, and the crispy tacos are delish. A must-visit for flavorful Mexican cuisine.

I love papa chevos sausage breakfast burritos. I love them so much everytime I come in the guy taking my order knows what I want already. The vibe of the place is good too.

I ordered the carne asada burrito (San Diego style - no rice and beans) and it was very good with the red hot sauce and salsa verde. The burrito was packed with carne asada and the tortilla was good. Typically in most East Bay Area taco shops, if you ask for a carne asada burrito with no rice and beans, then that burrito significantly becomes smaller. Not Papa Chevo's carne asada burritos though. Overall, it was very tasty. I also ordered some rolled tacos w/sour cream, guac, lettuce, and tomatoes also like San Diego style that I'm used to, but it wasn't that good unfortunately. At least they had rolled tacos at this establishment unlike most of the taco shops in East Bay. This place kind of reminded me of home in San Diego. SD taco shops are the best of the best and this place is pretty decent with their carne asada burritos.

Breakfast burrito on point. Simple - cheese, bacon, potatoes, eggs- so good. Flavor is great and their hot sauce taste delicious as well. Great mom and pop shop. The burrito is also really huge. Just a really good no fringe burrito.
